Tiny Studios AS is the developer and service provider for the Tiny Studios platform. Studio owners that use Tiny Studios may also process personal data about their dancers, guardians, employees, and customers through the platform.

Personal data we collect and process

Depending on how you use Tiny Studios, we may process the following data:

  • Dancer profile data: name, date of birth, gender, school, guardians, and studio memberships.
  • Contact data: address, city, postal code, country, email address, and phone number.

We collect personal data directly from users, from studios that manage classes through Tiny Studios, and from normal use of the website or mobile app.

Mobile permissions

  • Camera access is used for features such as QR code scanning and media upload. The app asks for permission before using the camera.
  • Push notifications are used to send app notifications such as studio posts and relevant account or class updates. You can control push notification permission in your device settings.
  • The app uses secure HTTPS connections and persistent session storage so users can stay signed in.

How we use personal data

  • To create and manage user, dancer, guardian, employee, and studio accounts.
  • To provide course enrollment, drop-in, waiting list, attendance, scheduling, and studio management.
  • To process orders, payments, receipts, refunds, and related financial records.

Users can also request deletion by contacting support@thetinystudios.com. Users may receive transactional emails such as signup confirmation, login, invitation, receipt, payment, and account messages. These are necessary to provide the service. Users may also receive studio post emails and push notifications where enabled. Post emails include an unsubscribe option, and push notifications can be controlled through device settings.

Children and guardians

Tiny Studios is used by dance studios that may provide classes for children. Guardian accounts can manage dancer profiles for children. Studios and guardians are responsible for ensuring that child dancer information is provided and used appropriately for class registration, attendance, communication, and related services.
